Tuesday 14th Feb 1012

Well with the light renovations done, the greens surface has held up well and should be ok for the pennants this weekend,
This reno we did not scarrify or topdress with sand because we wanted to keep a playable surface to keep golfing going early in the season for the Members. Also with the light reno  there was much less thatch pulled out of the greens than usual and this will have us doing more light de thatchings while the greens can handle it.
We have turfed the surround of the 15th bunker and some more patches on the 10th and 3rd, we continue to top up the bare patches and every Monday there is a working bee to help out with this, so if you have an hour spare at 1.00 pm Mondays it would be great to see you,
the tidy up holes last week was 1,2,3,4 and this week because of renovations we will only get to 5 & 6,
We have also been putting in allot of hours in the bunkers spraying and fixing up faces which then seems to cause rain to wash them out again so we go through the process again....o'well thats the way it goes sometimes... but the new bunkers are standing up well to the storms
